The challenge of improving educational attainment has become a priority to drive the development of today’s societies. This challenge leads us to a fundamental goal: to ensure that each student can reach the highest level of which he or she is capable within the learning process.
In recent years, significant research has shown that there are many aspects of the physical environment that affect attention and motivation and that therefore affect students learning. This means that the traditional classroom layout has been transformed into a learning space where students actively take the lead, incentivising attention, motivation and the contribution of their multiple intelligences.
Designing learning spaces in this new spirit where a single space can have many different uses can help us to improve the educational experience, both for the teacher and for the student. And that is the sense in which classroom furniture has contributed, bringing new designs and functionalities that are fully adapted to the new, versatile method of collaborative learning.
